Before you start

  • Access to your current sign-in email

If you forget your password

Choose Forgot password on the app or client-portal sign-in screen. Enter your email and check your inbox for a private reset link. For privacy, the screen gives the same answer whether or not an account uses that address.

Reset links expire and work only once. Changing a forgotten password signs out other devices so an old session cannot stay connected.

Confirm and protect your email

Settings → Your account & security shows whether your sign-in email is confirmed. You can resend the confirmation there.

Changing your sign-in email starts with an approval message to your current address, then confirms the new address. Until both checks finish, your existing email stays in place.

Review signed-in devices

The same Settings card lists active browsers and devices with sign-in and expiry times. Sign out one you do not recognize, or disconnect every other device at once.

Changing your password also disconnects every other device automatically.

Why some actions ask for confirmation first

You can organize people, projects, and pipelines before confirming your email. Cygnetree asks for confirmation only before higher-impact work: sending externally, inviting people, signing, connecting providers, creating API keys, or changing ownership.

If an action takes you back to Account & security, resend the confirmation and return to the saved work afterward.

Transfer a workspace safely

Only the current owner can transfer ownership, and the successor must already be a teammate with a confirmed email. Type the workspace name to approve the change.

Cygnetree promotes the successor before changing the prior owner to administrator, so an interrupted transfer cannot leave the workspace ownerless. Both people receive a security notice.

Export or close your account

Settings → Your data & account downloads a portable JSON record of your identity, workspace memberships, and portal access. Workspace-owned business records stay with their workspace.

Account closure has a 30-day grace period and can be cancelled from the same card. If you are the only owner of any workspace, transfer it first. Cygnetree checks again at deletion time and pauses rather than orphaning a workspace.
