The directory
Sourcing and delivery in one place. Choose a business here and they join the job you are already running — not a list you have to email around afterwards.
The directory opens region by region.
A directory below a certain density is worse than none, so this one waits until there are enough businesses in a place to be worth searching. Businesses can build their page inside Cygnetree today; it goes public when the directory does.
What makes this one different
Finding someone and working with them are the same step.
Every other directory hands you a list and stops. Choose a business here and they join the job you are already running — shared dates, shared documents, one place for the conversation. That is the difference, and it is the only one worth claiming.
Ratings come from people who actually hired them.
Only a client who shared a real job with a business can rate it, and only once for that job. There is no way to buy a score, and no way to ask only the happy clients — asking selectively is against the rules here and against the law in several places.
The score is our statement, so we publish the arithmetic.
The average is the plain mean of every published rating, counted once each, with no weighting for recency, spend, or who wrote it. Ratings we hold back are excluded and the reason is recorded. Businesses get a public right of reply and a real appeal.
A profile carries no contact details to harvest.
There is no email address and no phone number on a public page — not hidden, not present. People reach a business through Cygnetree or through the website that business already publishes.
Businesses with no account are not listed and not rated.
A company that never signed up cannot answer back, so nothing evaluative is ever attached to one and they do not appear in search. A business you recommend privately to your own client is a different thing, and that works today.
Want your business here when it opens?
Your public page is built from the brand you already set up for your website, so there is nothing new to design. Write it once and publish it whenever you are ready.
